Distinguished Service Awards for Geoff and Barbara Gloury

Horsham City Bowling Club members Geoff and Barbara Gloury were awarded “Distinguished Service Awards” for their service to bowling in the Wimmera Region at the Horsham City Bowling Club’s Presentation Night on Saturday 17 April 2021.

We all wish Geoff and Barbara well as they are leaving Horsham and moving to St Leonards on the Bellarine Peninsula. Their significant contribution to our Club and Lawn Bowls in general is greatly appreciated.

They both started their bowls at Sunnyside Bowling Club in 1988 and transferred to Horsham City in 2007.  They have held committee positions at both clubs with Geoff being secretary of the Wimmera Bowling Division for 5 years and a Regional Bowls Victoria Councillor for 10 years.

On the bowling green they have won many Club Championship events.

In presenting the awards Club President Stewart Landwehr said that our loss will be St Leonards gain.
